Shri M.N. Kampani Arts and Shri A.K. Shah Commerce College
Shri M.N. Kampani Arts and Shri A.K. Shah Commerce College,Mangrol is managed by Shree Bharat Saraswati Mandir Sansad Shardagram, which is a unique institution started first in Karanchi in 1921 under the inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi. It was then known as Shree Sharada Mandir. In the course of time, it developed into a very progressive institution of national education and played a very useful role in the educational and cultural activities of the country during the freedom movement.
After partition, it was shifted in the rural area near Mangrol town in Gujarat. With noble efforts of Mansukhram Jobanputra, the founder father of the institution, the then Saurashtra Government gave 1100 bighas of land to the institution near Mangrol town. Thus, Shree Sharda Mandir of Karanchi was reconstructed as Shree Shardagram on 1st April,1949. In addition to this college, the Sansad manages more than a dozen other schools and colleges.
Shri M.N. Kampani Arts and Shri A.K. Shah Commerce College, Mangrol was established in the year 1988. It was first known as Shree Shardagram Arts and Commerce College. The name of the college was changed on 04-04-2006. It is affiliated to Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh and has been listed under 2(F) & 12(B) of the UGC Act,1956.
The college started with 186 students. Today the college is providing higher education to more than 1200 students in and around Mangrol town. The college offers U.G. as well as P.G. level courses in the faculties of arts, commerce and Computer Science(IT).
